Verify that you are getting the full-book with online access because the PAPERBACK version does not provide the online access. Also the paperback book does not provide any color pictures or color charts, EVERYTHING is in black & white, so if you are a visual learner, you may want to pay the extra money for the Hardcover book to ensure color pages and online access to the Davis site. I just had to place another order for the hardcover since the paperback is lacking so much.
I needed this book for my nursing program. I rented on amazon and I saved a lot of money. It's a pretty good book just like all the other nursing books. OB is not really for me so I am just trying to pass the class. The chapter summary and the quizzes at the end of the chapters definitely helped me on the tests in class. If your nursing program uses this book , I think you should rent it from amazon!
I loved this book. I came into nursing to become an L&D nurse. This book is such an easy read with great charts and its very explanatory when it comes to difficult concepts. The "critical components" within the chapters are very helpful and were def concepts our teacher used on the exams. Overall my favorite book in nursing. It wasn't a crazy bulky book like my med surg book and it was user friendly! Good luck nursing students!
Book is written in outline format which is great for some but not myself since I like to read and make my own outlines. The questions at the end of each chapter were helpful, I just wished that whoever had the book before me didn’t highlight all of the answers! Next time I rent a textbook, I will be sure to make sure there aren’t too many highlighted text or answers.
Pay the extra money for the hardcover version. I bought the paper back version because it was not well advertised that the paperback was not in color. The whole book just looks like it's photo copied.
You will not necessarily get a product that is okay to resale or sale in the US. Mine had this disclaimer:"International Paper-back Edn, Same as per description, **Economy edition, May have been printed in Asia with cover stating Not for sale in US. "
If your class required this book. Get it! It's easy to read and understand. Its not that thick. Renting from Amazon is the best and most affordable way to rent textbook.
Love how detailed the book is. Wish the book would put the clinical manifestations in its own section for easy accessibility.
