I was happy to make an additional donation in the form of a book that I could donate to the library, but I was sick to my stomach when I flipped through only a few pages of basically the same line and realized what a huge paper waste has been generated--and that I just contributed to--by this shoddy waste of time "book." I love books and appreciate good humor, but this is neither. Please just make a direct donation to a helping organization and save some trees.
For all of those who are complaining about length: Colbert read it on air -- I think the majority of us knew how short it was. And we were happy to pay for it. If YOU think it’s too short, just think of it as a donation with a FREE BOOK.
Thank you to Colbert and company for donating the proceeds of the book to hurricane victims AND entertaining us. Without Colbert, I couldn’t have survived these past 2 years. This book brought me more laughs!
I thought the illustrations for this book were wonderful. They really nailed a children's book. Which is kind of horrifying :)At the front of the book, there's a page that asks "whose book is this book?" and there's a line to sign your name.It's for a good cause, and it's a great souvenir of our present national nightmare.
Love the premise, disliked the lack of content. I was expecting a book full trumpisms and wity commentary. Feel like a sucker for buying Colbert’s book, though at least I helped the publishing company and maybe the hurricane victims. Wonder how much of each sale actually goes to relief efforts.
