I read this book a while back from someone I borrowed it from. It is so great I had to get my own copy. I have always wondered how a human being could love the Gospel so much that he willingly goes into a situation with high odds he will lose his life. While fans of Elliot know his famous line "he is no fool to give up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose", there are a lot of other less popular but equally useful insights in this book. My favorite that has really impacted me is "wherever you are be all there".
The story of a zealous faithful christian. This is a great book to use for daily devotions. Young people must read this and follow the example.
Book arrived on time. Started reading and the binding is not holding. First few pages came out. Did not fold cover to back, just opened flat.Bought used in very good condition - doesn't look used at all. Content of book is good, binding of the book itself is not good.

I read some of the journal writings when I was a young Christian, shortly after Jim Elliot and his fellow missionaries were martyred. I read them again just recently and this man's spirituality in one so young was and is extraordinary. He puts me to shame today as he did 50 years ago.
Some pages fell out when I opened it.Disappointed.
